We pick you up at your hotel to start the tour ascending to the hills of Cusco to the Cristo Blanco, from where you will have a panoramic view of the city and the incredible landscape. On the way back to the city center we will pass near the archaeological remains of Sacsayhuaman, to return walking to the City of Cusco. Our first destination will be the artisan neighborhood of San Blas, a charming and lively neighborhood that is home to many artisans, workshops and craft shops. We will walk through its narrow and steep streets with old houses, built by the Spanish on important Inca foundations. We will visit the church of San Blas and its famous pulpit, then we will make a stop at the famous Stone of the Twelve Angles to take some photos.
We then continue our tour to the Inca Museum, also known as the Archaeological Museum of Cusco, which contains vestiges that trace the history of Peru from the pre-Inca civilizations and the Inca culture. After the tour in the Museum we continue our walk towards the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, in the heart of the city. Our last stop will be at the local San Pedro market which runs every day of the week with a variety of items for sale such as the beautiful cakes, fresh juices, delicious cheeses, huge loaves bigger than a head, tropical fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices, fresh coca leaves and also "strange" products snakes in bottles, snouts, animal heads and soups served with a jaw in it. You can take as long as you like to browse the many small stalls, get inspired by the very special style of this place and buy traditional souvenirs. We finish the walking tour Cusco, optionally, having lunch at the Pacha Papa restaurant (additional).
